Refund & Return Policy

We want you to be happy with every purchase from BuildX. This policy explains when you can return items and how refunds work.

1. Return window

You can request a return or exchange within 7 days of delivery for items that are unused, in their original sealed packaging and in resaleable condition, together with the invoice.

2. Items that cannot be returned

  • Products cut, mixed, tinted or made to your specification — for example tinted paint, wires or pipes cut to length, and custom sizes.
  • Opened or partially used consumables such as adhesives, chemicals, sealants, putty, grout and waterproofing compounds.
  • Cement and other bagged materials once the bag is opened, wet or damaged after delivery.
  • Items that have been installed, fixed, plumbed or wired.
  • Products marked as non-returnable on the product page.

3. Damaged, defective or wrong items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, short in quantity or different from what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photos or a short video. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund after verification. Manufacturing defects that appear later are covered by the brand's warranty; we will help you raise the claim.

4. How to request a return

  1. Email hello@buildxshop.in or call +91 90000 00000 with your order number and the items you want to return.
  2. Our team will confirm eligibility and schedule a pickup, or ask you to drop the items at the nearest BuildX store.
  3. Items are inspected on receipt. Approved refunds are processed as below.

For returns that are not due to our error, the original delivery charge is not refunded and a return-pickup charge may be deducted.

5. Cancellations

You can cancel an order free of charge before it is dispatched. Once an order has been handed to the delivery partner, it can be returned under this policy instead.

6. Refunds

  • Online payments are refunded to the original payment method within 5–7 working days of approval. Your bank may take additional time to show the credit.
  • Pay on Delivery orders are refunded by bank transfer or UPI to the account you share with us.
  • A credit note is issued against the original GST invoice for every refund.
