This Privacy Policy explains how BuildX ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use buildxshop.in and our related services. We process personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

• Account and contact details: name, mobile number, email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
• Order details: delivery and billing addresses, map location you pin for delivery, products ordered, GSTIN and business name if you request a business invoice.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a payment reference and status; we never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or banking credentials.
• Partner programme data: for architects and contractors — firm name, city, registration or licence number, GSTIN, referral activity, points and reward requests.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, used for security, fraud prevention and to improve the website.

2. How we use your data

• To process and deliver orders, issue invoices and handle returns and refunds.
• To share the necessary pickup and drop details with our delivery partners.
• To send order confirmations, delivery updates and responses to your enquiries.
• To run the partner programme, including attributing referred orders and issuing rewards.
• To prevent fraud, secure our services and meet legal and tax obligations.
• With your consent, to send offers and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business — payment processing (Razorpay), delivery (logistics partners such as Porter), hosting (Cloudflare) and email (Google) — and only to the extent needed. We may disclose data when required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and pincode, and attribute orders to partner referral links for up to 30 days. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Retention

We keep order and invoice records for the period required under tax law. Account data is kept while your account is active; you can ask us to delete your account at any time, subject to records we must retain by law.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent for marketing, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. To do so, contact our Grievance Officer below.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, restricted administrative access and audit logs to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
